A poem by Babar Ahmad to mark 6 years of his detention without any charges.

Six years
Of pain ...
Of despair ...
Of injustice...
Of torture.

Six years
Of evil ...
Of darkness ...
Of fear ...
Of uncertainty.

Six years
Of hatred ...
Of racism ...
Of malice ...
Of lies.

Six years
Of births ...
Of weddings ...
Of deaths ...
Of life.

Six years
Of prayers ...
Of yearning ...
Of dreams ...
Of hopes.

Six years
Of waiting ...
Of hope ...
Of waiting ...
Of hope.
