Babar Ahmad was arrested in August 2004 on a US extradition warrant. He is the longest held British citizen to be detained without trial or charge. He is currently held at HMP Long Lartin, awaiting the final verdict from the European Court of Human Rights, having exhausted all appeals in the British courts.
